Melony Stuckey is an independent artist known for vibrant, richly textured work inspired by the colors, patterns, and beauty of the natural world. Her pieces are created to be experienced up close—the layers, dimension, and tactile surfaces invite viewers to look a little longer and, whenever possible, reach out and touch.
Mel’s creative journey has taken her through graphic design, stained and fused glass, clay, textiles, and painting. Each medium has influenced the next, giving her a distinctive approach to the canvas. By layering materials, color, and texture, she creates sculptural works with a three-dimensional quality.
A member of the South Carolina Watermedia Society, Mel is grateful to have studied under Suzanne Morgan Wilkins at Avion Point Studio. Her work has been selected for juried exhibitions and displayed in galleries and venues throughout the region, including the McKissick Museum. Through every piece, Mel continues to share her colorful and deeply personal interpretation of the world around her.
